Penerbit FKIP Universitas Palangka Raya. Frekuensi terbitan 6 bulanan atau 2 kali dalam setahun. Tingang adalah sejenis burung khas Kalimantan Tengah (Borneo). Gambar burung tingang terdapat pada logo Universitas Palangka Raya. Burung Tingang (enggang) melambangkan pencarian/penelitian ilmu dalam kebebasan, kedekatan dengan alam dan lingkungan. Kanderang adalah suara keras dari burung tingang. Jurnal Ilmiah Kanderang Tingang merupakan sarana untuk menyuarakan hasil pencarian/penelitian ilmu pendidikan. Jurnal Ilmiah Kanderang Tingang memuat artikel hasil kajian dan penelitian pendidikan mengenai kurikulum, pendidik dan perbuatan mendidik/mengajar, peserta didik dan perbuatan belajar, lingkungan pendidikan, penilaian dan evaluasi pendidikan, khususnya bidang pendidikan kimia. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the online learning activities that are most often carried out, the constraints that students have, responses to online learning and students' understanding of the material delivered by lecturers. This study used a survey method using an online questionnaire with the Google Forms platform. This research was conducted at FKIP Palangka Raya University with a total of 34 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a sample of all students. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, observation and documentation. Test the validity of the items in this study using the content validity test while the reliability test using the test-retest technique. The application of online learning at the FKIP of Palangka Raya University uses the zoom application in the form of learning by lecturers providing explanations of material. The obstacle that students have in online learning is a weak internet network, because the majority of students live in areas with poor signal. As a result, students have a lack of understanding of the material presented by the lecturer. This online learning is very good to use, it's just that it has to be supported by adequate infrastructure and training needs to be provided for lecturers who are unable to explore the use of technology.

Abstract

Gold mining uses mercury for the gold extraction process, where the mercury content in the Kahayan watershed reaches 2.996 - 4.687 µg/l and this value exceeds the standard limit for mercury content in water. Bioremediation is one solution to reduce mercury waste pollution. Mercury bioremediation using microorganisms and adsorbents requires appropriate process steps to be effective in eliminating mercury. This study aims to determine the effect of bioremediation stages on the effectiveness of mercury (Hg) elimination in liquid media and to determine the most effective bioremediation steps for mercury (Hg) elimination in liquid media. This study used an experimental method with a nonfactorial completely randomized design consisting of treatments namely control (K), treatment 1 (T1), treatment 2 (T2), treatment 3 (T3), treatment 4 (T4), with 5 (five) times repetition. Analysis of the results of the bioremediation stages using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry). Data were analyzed using the One-way Anova test, LSD test and effectiveness test. The results showed that the bioremediation stage had a significant effect on the effectiveness of mercury (Hg) elimination in liquid media. The most effective bioremediation stage for mercury (Hg) elimination in liquid media is the T3 stage which starts from Mercury Waste→Microalgae→Bacteria→Red Clay→Activated Charcoal, with an effectiveness value of 89.4% in reducing mercury.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the not maximal learning of physical education. This study aims to determine students' interest in participating in physical education lessons at Tumbang Samba 1 Public High School for the 2020/2021 academic year in Central Katingan District, Katingan Regency. This research is quantitative descriptive. The method used is survey method. The subjects of this research were 44 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Tumbang Samba. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The analysis technique used is pouring the frequency into the form of a percentage. The results of this study indicate that students' interest in participating in physical education learning at SMA Negeri 1 Tumbang Samba is in the moderate category with the highest frequency being in the medium category with 16 students or 36.36%. Students' interest in participating in physical education learning at SMA Negeri 1 Tumbang Samba was in the very high category 3 people or 6.82%, in the high category 9 people or 20.45%, in the medium category 16 people or 36.36%, in the low category 14 people or 31 .82%, and in the very low category 2 people or 4.55%.

Abstract

There is no globalization without advancement of information and communication technology. The spread of information take place quickly and expand, not restricted to developed countries with the high economic growth, but also across the borders of the poor and developing countries with low economic growth. For Indonesia, the inclusion of western values are riding the wave of globalization to the people of Indonesia are a threat to native culture that portray the typical locality of regions in this country. For example, small children can just look at pornographic images, teenagers are supposed to be a milestone in the nation's culture extolling hedonism and modernity. Hence, be required the strategies that in fact take advantage of the role of digital media in prevent the negative effects from the outside because of the globalization, among others websites, mobile applications, mobile games, and so on can be used to a basis of the approach to spreading out the culture of Indonesia through the Internet with the emphasis of spread through blogs and social media, make a local media into a national and international media were able to increase the role of local culture on the world stage and last, execute a counter culture, which is a kind of effort from a local media to impede the effects from outside media by the accentuate of the characteristic that originate the local community.

Abstract

Language is a requirement for humans to think, which is the source of human origins in the process of understanding and knowledge. Regarding the existence of the Indonesian language, the researcher here collects data, records the results of the interviews and analyzes each response from the respondents. This study aims to determine understanding as someone perceives the position of the Indonesian language. The reason for the researcher to make this title is because currently the function of the Indonesian language is felt to be displaced by foreign languages and due to the attitude that believes that it will look modern if you use a foreign language when interacting on social media. This research is useful for readers because when viewed from the problems that have been described, the method needed is to describe the importance of using Indonesian properly and correctly. The research method used is a qualitative research method which is referred to as an investigative approach because researchers usually collect data by face to face with people at the research site. The result of this research is that the Indonesian language has not functioned properly and correctly. Most people who speak feel possessed by a sense of inferiority, so they feel more respected, and educated if in the events of daily narrative, both in the variety of narrative and in writing, they insert a pile of foreign terms, even though there are already equivalent words in Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' reading skills in the Indonesian language subject through the application of the PAKEM method (Active, Creative, Effective and Fun Learning) at SDN Tarusan Danum, Tewang Sagalang Garing District, Katingan Regency. Based on the results of observations in the class, it was found that there were students who could not read fluently. The number of students who still could not read fluently was 14 out of a total of 17 students. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted for two months using the PAKEM method in an effort to improve the reading skills of class I students at SDN Tarusan Danum. This research was conducted through four cycles where each cycle consisted of one meeting through several stages, namely planning, observing and reflecting. The data collection technique was carried out using observations at each meeting by observers and learning outcomes were taken from the value of the ability results (achieved or not the ability aspect indicators) of students in each cycle. The results of this study, in the first cycle was 48%, in the second cycle was 68%, in the third cycle was 79% and in the fourth cycle was 94%. The results obtained from the first, second, third and fourth cycles of this study show that using the PAKEM method in improving students' reading skills in the Indonesian subject experienced an average increase of 72%.

Abstract

The background of this research begins with the demands of professional teachers in carrying out the mandate to create creative and productive learning by actively involving students. A creative and productive learning process will be able to create a fun learning atmosphere for students. Geography teachers who want fun learning must master the application of environment-based learning models. This research is a preliminary study in the form of needs analysis in developing an environment-based geography learning model to create a fun school. Needs analysis was carried out to determine the level of understanding of geography teachers in Palangkaraya City regarding the application of an environment-based learning model. The main problem he faced was the low learning motivation of students participating in geography lessons. On the other hand, teachers have difficulty utilizing the environment as the main learning resource. This research is the first part of a series of Research and Development models. In this preliminary study, researchers need data on perceptions, skills, and curriculum suitability related to the application of an environment-based geography learning model to create a fun school. The method used is filling out a questionnaire and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The research subjects were geography teachers in Palangkaraya City. The results of the study concluded that the teacher's perception regarding the concept of developing an environment-based geography learning model was good. The teacher provides information support regarding the level of understanding of the application of the environment-based learning model based on the experiences experienced during teaching. The teacher's skills in the practice of implementing the environment-based geography learning model are quite good, but there are still those who have not applied them according to procedures or syntax in a systematic manner. This has an impact on the learning process that is not interesting for students. Utilization of the environment as a learning resource is able to answer the demands of implementing a scientific approach in the 2013 curriculum. However, most teachers still experience confusion in collaborating geography subject matter with the natural environment around the school.

Abstract

Education is a universal humanitarian phenomenon which if true its activities will foster the multidimensional development of basic human abilities. The direction of educational attention is more on students, namely those who are able to optimize their potential as individual human beings. To achieve this goal, the role of various parties is needed, especially policy makers, in this case the government and institutions directly related to education. The basic direction of national education policy attention is Elementary Schools because they are the initial institutions for the formation of humans towards optimal intelligence. National education policy in this context is more on its implementation in basic education institutions.

Abstract

General Chemistry I is a compulsory subject taken by preservice science teachers where concept mastery of the subject can be explored through an essay test. The purpose of this study was to describe the psychometric characteristics of the General Chemistry I essay test using the Andrich Rating Scale Model by the Winsteps program. The research was conducted in the Odd Semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year involving 46 students who were selected through a cluster random sampling technique. Although the results of the psychometric analysis showed that the rating scale had not functioned as it should, the General Chemistry I essay test instrument proves to have good (unidimensional) construct validity with all items in the category of moderate difficulty level. This research at the same time proves that it is not easy to make and define categories in an essay test. The use of the Andrich Rating Scale Model provides very useful information for describing and improving the psychometric quality of essay tests on measuring the General Chemistry I ability of preservice science teachers.

Abstract

Media development is an effort to overcome students' difficulties in the learning process. The development of lectora inspire learning media tends to present macroscopic and symbolic aspects. Modification of the syntax of the development model found a lack of suitability of learning objectives for narrative representations in learning materials, and learning content for chemical representations which made media difficult to use. The purpose of this study is to analyze suitability; the syntax of the learning media development model on the theoretical development model syntax, learning objectives on teaching materials, and learning content on chemical representation criteria. This study applies a meta-analysis method with a qualitative approach. The results of the research show that the stage of defining the analysis of student characteristics has not been linked to the stage of constructing a criterion-referenced test (setting test standards). One learning objective was found in thesis A, and 3 learning objectives in thesis C which were categorized as partially appropriate, while the learning objectives in thesis B were all categorized as appropriate to the teaching material. Lectora inspire learning content still has a discrepancy with the chemical representation criteria. Lectora insipre learning media tend to contain the R1 (multiple), R2 (explicit), R3 (fully related and connected), R4 (narration according to representation) and R5 (quite connected ).
